Rooms are comfortable and very clean (although a previous reviewer's comment about the lack of toilet rolls is accurate!). Reception staff have very good English
There was no shuttle bus - taxi to airport was €15 for only a couple of Kilometres! The hotel is right beside Via Appia, which means the road noise is constant until about 1 am, and starts again at around 6 am.
It is very nice just walk to the Racecourse Capannelle where we enjoyed a racing.
Breakfast was sweet only, after second Day I did not like it any more.
Very attractive room, recently refurbished. Particularly attractive bathroom area. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Noticed some patches of rising damp on walls. Lack of fresh air as no windows.
Close to ciampino airport, busy restaurant attached for food and breakfast
Steep wooden steps in room not particularly child friendly
The hotel was delightful, and the staff was so helpful.
Close to airport, very good food, nicely refurbished room with plenty of atmosphere, professional and friendly staff.
Could be better signposted from the road
The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a fantastic restaurant next to the hotel. My room had a loft! Free wifi connection.
Other guests or maybe the cleaning service, were very noisy early in the morning (6.30). A very sweet breakfast with freshly ((homemade?) baked pie and cake. Really superb, but I rather eat something without sugar in the morning and missed fresh fruits.
Stop off before flight back to Ireland, located 3 km from Ciampino airport. It is convenient.
Really excellent location, very close to the Ciampino airport, therefore ideal if you arrive late or travel early. Building is nicely restored and has very nice big rooms, well designed. Breakfast is excellent, and very Italian, only sweets, but what a choice! The hotel is on the Via Appia, not a very nice location by itself, but because its an old building built around a courtyard, you don't notice that. And the proximity to Ciampino makes up for the lacklustre location. Would certainly go back here. Not suitable however if Rome is your target, then its too far from the main sights.
Everything fine, maybe the airco could be better.
The suite was excellent. Location was right on the way to Rome, with easy access to city. Has a play area which is good for engaging the children. Breakfast was also very good with a lot of varieties to choose.
The Receptionist! When we arrived at the hotel our room was not yet ready so he kindly offered us drinks and snacks while we waited for the room. We then had some children banging and kicking on our door during the day, but as soon as I told the receptionist he went and told their parents - the banging soon stopped. Then when we found out our coffee machine wasn't working the receptionist went and got us two complimentary cappuccinos from the bar.
The grumpy waiting staff. Even though our particular waiter on the evening was really nice, the others were so miserable. When we were sitting down waiting for the receptionist to bring our drinks during the day, one waiter came over, plonked down some cutlery and plates, muttered something under his breadth and stormed off. When the receptionist came back he looked mortified at our table and quickly removed all of the cutlery and plates.
Close to the Ciampino airport. Good resturant, parking facilities. good sized room and friendly staff
If driving, hard to find the entrance.
I recommed the hotel. Comfortable room and good services.
The evening staff could not help us with anything. It took as some time to find the hotel.
It's close to the airport for an early flight. Adjacent restaurant.
The lighting was very poor in the bedroom, like an emergency light. Windows were high off the ground with an opaque glazing. Shutters were closed so it was like a prison cell. With a little imagination you could have a nice bedroom.
Our flight was delayed and we arrived after 11pm. Restaurant closed on Mondays so no sign of life. Had to bang on doors and windows to get in. Young man on duty was very pleasant and helpful once he knew we were outside. He quickly opened the gates for our car and even sold us a bottle of chilled wine. Have stayed here before and we like the place. The rooms are comfortable and excelent value for money. The wooden beams and open staircases are very attractive. Restaurant is good except closed Mondays.
Difficult to get in if you arrive late. In fairness though, check in is only supposed to be until 10pm.
